CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING
USE PERMIT MODIFICATION
UP-78-441/MOD i (AUTO STUDIO)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 20.91 of the South San Francisco Municipal
Code a use permit modification was proposed by the Planning Commission for
UP-78-441/Mod i IAuto Studio) at 45 Chestnut Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the oral and written record, heard
further from the permittee and discussed the matter at length:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it upholds the modification of UP-78-441/Mod i subject to the
following conditions:
1. The gasoline bays shall not be used for parking; they shall remain open for
gasoline sales.
2. The parking of vehicles on the site shall be limited to the designated
parking spaces.
3. No more than 12 vehicles shall be parked on this site, outside of the build-
ing, at any one time.
4. No vehicle shall be stored on the site for longer than five days.
5. Subject to review in six months.
6. The use shall be conducted as a gasoline sales use, as defined below,
provided however, that so long as gasoline sales remain an on-going
part of the premises operation, the significant auto repair activity
currently conducted upon the premises may be continued pursuant to
South San Francisco Municipal Code Chapter 20.97, Non-Conforming Uses
and Structures Regulations.
Gasoline Sales. The Gasoline Sales use type refers to
establishments or places of business primarily engaged
in the retail sale, from the premises, of petroleum
products with the incidental sale of tires, batteries,
and replacement items, lubricating services, and minor
repair services. Up to fifteen percent of the total
floor area of any service station building can be used
for retail sales of items for the convenience of
travelers. (Section 20.06.110(d) South San Francisco
Municipal Code).
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 27th day of January
