CiTY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING NANCY HALE
WHEREAS, Nancy Hale was appointed to the South San Francisco Public
Library BOard of Trustees on February 17, 1982 and served in that position
until JanUary 27, 1988; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure on the Board, Nancy was an active member of
the Friends of the Library, represented the City every year in Sacramento
at Legislative Day and served her last three years as President of the
Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, Nancy has been very interested in promoting library services
for children including a year-round reading program; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her duties as Trustee, Nancy has been active in
other community activities such as Scouting and the PTA; and
WHEREAS, Nancy will remain an active supporter of the library and will
represent~the City on the Advisory Board of the Peninsula Library System;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby express its gratitude to Nancy Hale for her
dedicated)services to the Public Library Board of Trustees and the City of
South San!Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 9th day of March
, 19 88 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos,
Roberta Cerri Teglia, and Jack Drago
