CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SAN MATEO COUNTY
MUNICIPAL COURT TO ADJUST THE BAIL SCHEDULE
FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS
WHEREAS, the bail for violations of parking provisions of the South San
Francisco MLnicipal Code have not been changed since the beginning of the
1980's; and
WHEREAS, adjusting the bail schedule will allow increased uniformity with
the amounts assessed by other cities in the same jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the current bail schedule for parking violations is inadequate
to control violations and does not generate revenue equal to the costs of
enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the current bail schedule does not include the $1.50 surcharge
being imposed on each citation processed by the Court,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it determines it is necessary to adjust the bail schedule as
detailed in Exhibit "A" attached.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 23rd day of March , 19 88 by the following vote:
