HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 56-1987 RESOLUTION NO. 56-87 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THE NEED FOR CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION WHEREAS, Section 17958 of the Health & Safety Code requires the adoption by the City of South San Francisco of regulations imposing the same requirements of certain uniform industry codes as specified in Health & Safety Code Section 17922; and WHEREAS, Health & Safety Code Section 17958.5 permits a city to make such changes or modifications to the uniform codes as deemed reasonable because of local climatic, geological, or topographical conditions; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 50022.4 provides that when a code is adopted by reference, penalty clauses are not deemed adopted by reference but may be enacted only if set forth in full in the adopting ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that pursuant to the requirements of Health & Safety Code Section 17958.7 and Government Code Section 50022.4, the Council finds and determines there is a need to adopt the following changes or modifications to the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 Edition, by reason of local conditions: 1. Administrative Changes. Section 20.3, Violations and Penalties, is restated in light of Government Code Section 50022.4 to conform with other Muni- cipal Code provisions of the City of South San Francisco. Section 20.7, Schedule of Fees is replaced by the City's Master Fee Schedule. These changes are administrative rather than technical in nature. 2. Section 1004. Materials. Since State Law prohibits the use of plastic water pipe within buildings, all references to PB water pipe are deleted. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of May , 19 87 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers John "Jack" Draqo, Richard A.
