CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CHARLES W. GETZ IV
WHEREAS, Charles (Charlie) W. Getz IV has served the City
of South San Francisco as a dedicated member of the City's Planning
Commission from March 13, 1979 to May 14, 1987; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Charlie served as Vice-
Chairman from January 13, 1983 to January 12, 1984 and Chairman
from January 12, 1984 to January 10, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Charlie provided the Planning Commission with
invaluable leadership, insightful review, and good-natured wit,
necessary to conduct the business of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Charlie also provided innovative solutions to
complex applications and creative provisions to encourage better
development; and
WHEREAS, Charlie's dedication served to promote and guide
the growth of the community for the benefit of the citizens of
South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, Charlie's service to the community is hereby
recognized as an outstanding example of citizen participation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco does hereby express its gratitude
to Charles W. Getz IV for his dedicated service to the Planning
Commission and the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day
of June , 1987, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers John "Jack" Drago. Richard A. H~ff~y, ~,J~ Nicolopulo$,
Roberta £~rri T~glia., and Mark N. Addiogo
