CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT NO. I TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR
PROJECT NO. 3-06-0221-N1 FROM THE
FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
that:
1. Execution.
Execution of Amendment No. 1, to Grant Agreement for Project No.
3-06-0221-N1, Contract No. DTFA08-83-C-30070 from The United States of
America acting through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and between
the City of South San Francisco, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" is hereby authorized.
2. Signatures.
The Mayor is authorized to execute Amendment No.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 3-06-0221-N1
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration, (hereinafter referred to as
the "FAA"), acting for and on behalf of the United States, a~d the City of
South San Francisco, California, (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor"),
on September 30, 1983, entered into a Grant Agreement related to the above
numbered project, and;
WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the best interest of the Sponsor and
the FAA to amend the Gra~t Agreememt to delete the requirememt for the
acquisition of noise easements without a change in the maximum obligation
of the United States.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties
hereto, the FAA, acting for and on behalf of the United States of America,
on the one part, and the Sponsor, on the other part, do hereby mutually
agree as follows:
1. The airport development described on page I of the Grant Agreement
is hereby deleted amd substituted in lieu thereof the following:
Install soundproofing for noise compatibility (approximately
80 dwelling ~its amd two schools).
2. Delete Special Condition No. 8.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to said
Grant Agreem~-%t to be duly executed as of the 12th day of November
19 86.
