HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 185-1986 RESOLUTION NO. 185-86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE SOUTH AIRPORT BLVD. AT PRODUCE AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. ST-83-4.1, BID NO. 1664-1 WHEREAS, pursuant to previous order of the City Council and published notice, bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on the 22 day of October, 1986, for the SOUTH AIRPORT BLVD. AT PRODUCE AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. ST-83-4.1, Bid No. 1664-1; and WHEREAS, four bids were received, the first and second low bids were inadequate to meet the required participation for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goals; and the third and fourth bid were more than twenty percent {20%} over the estimate approved by Caltrans; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby reject all of the proposals or bids. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the lOth day of December , 1986, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers John "Jack" Drago, Richard A.
