HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 117-1986 RESOLUTION NO. 117-86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COM~IENDING JAMES LEONARD PETERS WHEREAS, JAMES LEONARD PETERS is a transplanted Texan, having graduated from Ysleta High School and attended the University of E1 Paso; and WHEREAS, James has attended Horticultural and Management cnurses at the College of San Mateo; and WHEREAS, he has devoted these past twelve (12) years of his life to the Parks Division, Technical and Maintenance Services Department, and is now a Park Maintenance Worker II; and WHEREAS, he attacks with relish, conscientiousness and skill his daily assignments involving repair of irrigation and park equipment, plumbing, layout of soccer and baseball fields, weed control and other necessary vegetation care and maintenance; and WHEREAS, he continues to put the City's best interests in mind, offers plausible suggestions where appropriate, and is known to perpetuate a spirit of tidiness, punctuality and order wherever his tasks take him; and WHEREAS, James' activities have included memberships in the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; and WHEREAS, he presently enjoys hunting, water and snow skiing and can now entertain the pleasures and possibilities of travel; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it does hereby extend its appreciation to James Leonard Peters for his dedicated service and does order this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression and its wishes for a pleasurable and gratifying retirement. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of June 1986 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmembers Mark N.
