HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 148-1986 RESOLUTION NO. 148'86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE SOUTH AIRPORT BLVD. AT PRODUCE AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO, ST-83-4, BID NO' 1661 WHEREAS, pursuant to previous order of the City Council and published notice, bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on the 27th day of August, 1986 for the South Airport Blvd. at Produce Avenue Traffic Signal and Street Improvements Project No. ST-83-4,Bid No. 1661; and WHEREAS, three bids were received, all of which were more than ten percent (10%) over the estimate approved by Caltrans; and WHEREAS. as a result of the foregoing, there is a choice of either rejecting bids and readvertising, awarding the contract and requesting additional Federal Aid Urban (FAU) funds, or awarding the contract and having the City pay the extra costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby reject all of the pro- posals or bids. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the lOth day of September , 19 86 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, John "Jack" Drago, Gus Nicolopulos, and Roberta Cerri Teglia NOES: None ABSENT: Richard A. Haffey
