HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 160-1986 RESOLUTION N0.160-86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A SANITARY SEWER AND STORM DRAINAGE EASEMENT AT 362 ALIDA WAY WHEREAS, pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets and Highway Code Section 8300 et seq.) the City Council may adopt a Resolution of Intention to vacate all or part of a street, highway or public service easement when the public and convenience so require; WHEREAS, a request has been made for the City to abandon a 3.72' wide by 119.11' long triangular portion of an existing 28.72' wide sanitary sewer and storm drainage easement in order to facilitate construction of an apartment building; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to vacate and abandon a portion of the public services easement at 362 Alida Way described in Exhibit "A" attached, which easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that: Pursuant to the provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8320 et seq. the Council intends to hold a hearing on Wednesday, the 12th day of November 1986, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco. All persons interested in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the public service easement as herein described may appear before said Council and be heard. 2. The City Clerk shall: Conspicuously post the Resolution of Intention or equivalent notice of the proposed vacation of the public service easement along the line of the easement to be vacated at least two (2) weeks prior to the date set for hearing. The notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and not less than three (3) such notices shall be posted. Publish the Resolution of Intention or equivalent notice of the date, hour and place of the hearing concerning the proposed vacation of the public service easement in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, for at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of October , 1986, by the following vote.
