Home My WebLink AboutReso 46-1986RESOLUTION NO. 46-86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON THE 8TH DAY OF APRIL 1986, DESIGNATING AND CONSOLIDATING PRECINCTS, DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT ELECTION OFFICERS AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS that: BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco 1. For the purpose of holding a General Municipal Election in said City on the 8th day of April, 1986, said City be and it is hereby divided into Twenty-seven (27) election precincts designated as Consolidated Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27. 2. Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference designates the Consolidated Precincts or Voting Precincts which contain the territory of the County precincts or combination of County precincts established by the County Clerk in accordance with the Elections Code and the precinct maps of San Mateo County on file in the office of the County Clerk. The polling place for each of said precincts are shown on Exhibit A and each of them is hereby appointed Precinct Officer for the precinct designated. The use of voting machines, same having been approved by the State Commission of Voting Machines, and approved and adopted by the County of San Mateo, is hereby approved for said election, and one machine in complete working order shall be placed in the polling place of each precinct, said polling places to be opened at 7:00 a.m. and kept open until 8:00 p.m. of said date when said polling places shall be closed. 4. The officers shall be compensated as follows: Inspector - the sum of $55.00 Judge - the sum of $46.00 5. The City Clerk shall provide or cause to be provided all supplies and services and equipment and do all acts necessary to conduct said election as provided for in the Elections Code and other related laws, including those ser- vices contracted for with the County of San Mateo by Resolution No. 264-85 of the City of South San Francisco. 6. The City Clerk shall give notice of the aforesaid designation of election officers and polling places by publication in the South San Francisco Enterprise Journal as required by law. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of February , 1986 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS Mark N.
