CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION HONORING THE SECOND ANNUAL
WOMEN'S HALL OF FAME OF SAN MATEO COUNTY
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that on Friday, March 7, 1986, the San Mateo County Board
of Supervisors and the Advisory Council on Women will be co-sponsoring the
Second Annual Women's Hall of Fame of San Mateo County to celebrate and honor
women who live or work in the county; and
WHEREAS, the Women's Hall of Fame has been etablished to recognize out-
standing women, their achievements and their contributions to the well-being
of our county and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, this is the first Women's Hall of Fame in the State of California
that has and will continue to recognize and acknowledge the outstanding efforts
of the women of this county; and
WHEREAS, women of every race, class, and ethnic background play a critical
role in the economic, cultural, social, and political spheres of our c~unty,
and constitute a significant portion of the labor force working in and outside
of the home;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that we commend and honor the outstanding recipients of this dis-
tinguished award for their tremendous contributions to the community.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 26th day of February , 19 86 , by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, John "Jack" Drago, Richard A. Haffey,
Gus Nicolopulos and Roberta Cerri Teglia
