HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 50-1986 RESOLUTION NO. 50-86 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET FOR USE OF "FOUNDATION PROGRAM" MONIES RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DURING FIS- CAL YEAR 1985-86 AND ORDERING SAID FUNDS TO BE SET ASIDE IN A SPECIAL ACCOUNT TO INSURE THEIR USE SOLELY FOR "FOUNDATION PROGRAM" ITEMS WHEREAS, the State of California, pursuant to Education Code Section 18015 has allocated the amount of forty thousand nine hundred six dollars ($40,906) for use by the City of SOuth San Francisco Library for "Foundation Programs" as defined in said section; and WHEREAS, the City Librarian has budgeted the use of said monies as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the budget contained in Exhibit "A" is well reasoned and will pro- vide improved service to the people of South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, the items contained in the budget are within the definition of "Foundation Program" items as contained in Section 18015; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to insure that the monies received from the State of California are used only for the purposes set forth in Section 18015 of the Education Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. The uses for "Foundation Program" monies received from the State of California for fiscal year 1985-86, as outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, are hereby approved. 2. The monies received from the State of California shall be placed in Account Number 12-3324 for the South San Francisco Library and shall be used only for Foundation Program items as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto. 3. The Director of Finance shall insure that the foregoing budget is administered in accordance with this Resolution and shall insure that any and all required reports are made to the State of California to insure that further funding, if available, is forthcoming from the State of California. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a ~egular meeting held on the 26th day of February , 19 86 , by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmembers Mark N.
