CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER I OF THE MASTER
FEE SCHEDULE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to add a fee for processing and issuance of
a background investigation report by the Police Department for pawnbroker and
secondhand dealer, operators and employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to add a fee for the renewal of a driver's
permit to operate a vehicle for hire; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend the fee description and code
reference for fees chargeable for the processing and issuance by the Police
Department of a permit to operate a fortune-telling business within the City
of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54990, et seq. provides a procedure for
levying certain fees by local agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on April 9, 1986 conduct a properly noticed
public hearing at which time an opportunity was given to the members of the
public to make written or oral presentations on the subject said fees; and
WHEREAS, at least ten days prior to said public hearing the City made avail-
able to the public an estimate of costs required to provide the services for which
the fees are levied and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the services,
including .general fund revenues; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the costs to provide the foregoing
services, including estimated costs, and the revenue sources anticipated to pro-
vide said services, including general fund revenues;
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the public response to said proposed
fees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1. The City Council does hereby adopt the fees set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as though set forth
verbatim.
2. The Director of Finance is hereby directed to amend the Master Fee
Schedule of the City of South San Francisco to reflect the fees set forth in
Exhibit "A" hereto.
3. All prior resolutions referring to fees are repealed to the extent
that said prior resolutions are inconsistent with the Master Fee Schedule amend-
ments adopted herein.
4. Severability. If any sentence, clause, phrase or other portion of this
resolution or of the Master Fee Schedule established hereby is for any reason to
be held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this resolution or of the Master Fee
Schedule. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this reso-
lution and established the Master Fee Schedule and each sentence, clause phrase
or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that one or more sentences, clauses,
phrases or portions thereof be declared unconstitutional or invalid.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 9th day of April , 1986, by the following
vote:

NOTICE OF HEARING
PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION OF CERTAIN FEES AND SERVICE CHARGES
PROVIDED TO THE PUBLIC BY THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
1. The City Council of the City of South San Francico will hold a
public hearing on Wednesday , the 9th day of April , 19 86 , at
7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo
Drive, South San Francisco, California, to consider the proposed implementation
of certain fees and service charges for services provided to the public by the
City of South San Francisco. Said fees and service charges are to be imple-
mented by the adoption of a resolution levying certain fees and service charges
and amending the Master Fee Schedule of the City of South San Francisco.
2. Detailed information indicating the amount of cost, or estimated
cost, required to perform the service for each fee or service charge levied
and the revenue source anticipated to provide the service is available to
the public in the office of the Director of Finance, 315 Maple Avenue, South
San Francisco, CA 94080.
3. Any and all persons interested may appear at said hearing and be
heard regarding said proposed amendment.
