A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL AND EXECUTION
OF FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ~OR SERVICES
(INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY)
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that:
1. Approval of Amendment to Agreement.
The Agreement entitled "First Amendment to Agreement for Services {Interim
City Attorney)" between the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation,
and Kasper and Rogers, a California general partnership, is hereby approved, and
a copy of said First Amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
2. Execution of Amendment to Agreement.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the
City, and the City Clerk attest her signature thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing ResolJtion was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of SoJth San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 28th day of May , 86 , by the following

EXHIBIT A TO RESOLUTION NO. 102-86
FIRST AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
(INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY)
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the Agreement entitled "Agreement for Services"
(hereinafter the "Agreement") is made this 28th day of May , 1986,
by and between the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation {herein-
after "City") and the law firm of Kasper and Rogers, a California general partner-
ship, the general partners of which are duly licensed to practice law in the
State of California {hereinafter "Attorneys").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, City and Attorneys entered into the Agreement as of March 27, 1986
in order to insure that City would have continuity of City Attorney services
while seeking a new City Attorney upon the resignation of Robert K. Rogers, Jr.;
and
WHEREAS, City has been successful in recruiting, selecting and appointing a
new City Attorney to begin work on July 1, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement shall terminate on May 31, 1986, unless sooner extended
by mutual agreement of the parties; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the Ci-~ to extend the Agreement in order
to insure the continuation of City Attorney services until the new City Attorney
begins work;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Effective as of the date of this First Amendment, ~aragraph 7 of the
Agreement is amended in part so that the date which reads "May 31, 1986" is
changed to read "June 27, 1986."
2. Except as amended by this First Amendment, the Agreement as it existed
on t~e effective date of this First Amendement shall remain in full force and
effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment to
Agreement for Services as of the date first a)ove written.
