CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A SENIOR ADULT DAY CARE
PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF SOUTH iSAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, Recreation and Community Servic[es vastly enhance our environment
and our lives; and
WHEREAS, leisure facilities in both urbain and rural areas are a necessity
to life, since they are a substantial effect on mental and physical health,
economic productivity and social problems; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program will make available additional senior services
in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Adult Day Care Progr.~m will have a direct benefit to our
community; and moreover, will benefit the hea..th and well-being of senior adults;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco encourages and strongly supQort~ the establishment of a Senior Adult
Day Care Program in our City and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate for
Community Service Block Grant funds through the Community Action Agency of San Mateo
to serve low income, frail seniors at the South San Francisco Day Care Proqram.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Reso!ution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on thellth day Of December , 1985 , by
