CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION
OF WESTBOROUGH BOULEVARD WITHIN THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, Section 1700 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes
the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County, by resolution adopted by 4/5tbs
vote, to declare any hi§hway in the County lying in whole or in part within a
city to be a county highway of ~he County for one or more of ~he following
purposes: acquisition of rights of way, construction, mai,'ntenance, improvement,
or repair upon consent of the City Council of such city by resolution to the
establishmen~ ~hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is authorized pursuant to Section
1800 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code to lay out, construct and main-
rain any section or portion of any street or highway within %he territorial
jurisdiction of City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable t~a~ the proposed Westborough
Boulevard 300 fee~ west of West Orange Avenue and E1Camino Real, more parti-
cularly described in Exhibit "A," and situated within the ~erri%ory of %he City
of Sou~h San Francisco, be declared and established as a county highway of
County, for ~he purpose of improvemen~ and repair; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has previously voted to declare the
proposed Wes%borough Boulevard 300 feet west of West Orange Avenue and E1Camino
Real, more particularly described in Exhibit "A," and situated within the terri-
tory of %he City of South San Francisco %o be a county highway of the County of
San Ma%eo for the purpose of improvemen~ and ~epair and has requested that the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco adopt a resolution consenting
~o ~he establishment of said proposed Westbor~ugh Boulevard above described as
a county highway of the County of San Mateo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that:
1. The City of South San Francisco hereby consents to the establishment of
said proposed Westborough Boulevard 300 fee~ west of West Orange Avenue and E1
Camino Real, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" as a county highway for
the purpose of improvement and repair.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 8th day of January , 1986 , by the following
vote:
