CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATIONS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SWIMMING ~OOL AT
WESTBOROUGH PARK
WHEREAS, there exists a need for a swimming pool in the Westborough community;
and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco
pool for the Westborough community; and
supports the concept of a swimming
WHEREAS, the City of South San Franciscolwishes to show its commitment to
this project by providing the resources to operate the pool if built; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient funds to construct such a pool; and
WHEREAS, the only way the pool can become a reality is through the acquisition
of grants generated by the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco intends to set aside for this purpose
land already owned by the City and set asidelfor park purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci%y Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1. It supports appropriate grant appliqations by its citizens for the pur-
pose of constructing a swimming pool at Westborough Park; and
2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to provide other appropriate written
assurances of the City's commitment to this project as are necessary and proper
to achieve the goals set forth above.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of SOuth San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 22nd day of January , 19 86 , by the following
vote:
