CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A SENIOR ADULT DAY CARE
PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, Recreation and Community Services vastly enhance our environment
and our lives; and
WHEREAS, leisure facilities in both urban and rural areas are a necessity
to life, since they have a substantial effect on mental and physical health,
economic productivity and social problems; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program will make available additional senior
services in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Adult Day Care Program will have a direct benefit to
our community; and moreover, will benefit the health and well-being of senior
adults;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco encourages and strongly supports the establishment of a Senior
Adult Day Care Program in our City and directs staff to seek appropriate
license for Adult Day Care from the State of California, Health and Welfare
Agency, Department of Social Services.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 25th day of September , 198 ~ , by
the following vote:
