HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 217-1985--- RESOLUTION NO. 217-85 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC UTILITY AND FIRE ACCESS EASEMENT WITHIN PARCEL "E" OF THE PARCEL MAP OF CENTURY PLAZA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. This Resolution of Intention is adopted pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law (commencing with Section 8300 of the Streets and Highways Code). 2. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of this Council to vacate and abandon the Public Utility and Fire Access Easement described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, which easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use. 3. Reference is hereby made to the map entitled "Location Map - Abandonment of a Public Utility and Fire Access Easement" on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to said easement to be vacated. 4. Notice is hereby given that Wednesday, the 13th day of November, 1985, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the public utility and fire access easement as herein described may appear before said Council and be heard. 5. Notice of the vacation of said public utility and fire access easement shall be posted conspicuously along the line of said easement or part thereof to be vacated at least two (2) weeks prior to the date set for hearing, and said notice shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and not less than three (3) of said notices shall be posted. 6. Notice of the date, hour and place of said hearing concerning the vacation of said public utility and fire access easement shall be published in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, published at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of October , 1985, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmembers Mark N. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia None None EXHIBIT A TO RESOLUTION NO. 217-85 Legal description of easement area to be vacated: The portion of the P.U.E. and fire access easement, ((;6 M 5, 6, 7 San Mateo County Records)' which is located in Parcel E (55 M 23 San Mateo County Records) which is described as follows: Commencing at the northern most corner o! Parcel E (55 M 23) thence South 2~°17'1g'' East, 20.3g feet to the true point of beginning, thence from said Point Of lSeginning South 5q°(~0'52'', 302.33 feet along a llne parallel to and 20 feet southeasterly of the westerly property line of Parcel E, to the northern right of way line of El Camino Real; thence South 26°38'q$'' East, 25.53 feet to a tano?nt point of a 25 foot radius reverse curve, the center of which bears North (;3 2l'lq" East; thence along the arc o! said curve in a northerly direction feet through a central angle of gl°lg'3g'' to a tangent point of a line parallel to and 24 feet southeasterly of the aforementioned westerly property line of Parcel E; thence along said line North 5q°q0'52'', 2~0.6g [ee~b to the northerly line of Parcel E; thence along said northerly line North 2q 17'1g" West, q.0$ feet to the true point oi beginning.
