CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE FUNDS
FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THE SPRUCE GYMNASIUM IN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that:
1. Approval of Amendment.
The Amendment to the Agreement entitled "Agreement to Provide Funds for
Improvement of the Spruce Gymnasium in the City of South San Francisco" which
extends the term of that certain Agreement from July 1, 1985 to June 30, 1986,
between the County of San Mateo and the City of South San Francisco is hereby
approved, and a copy of said Amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
2. Execution of Amendment.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment to Agreement
on behalf of the City, and the City Clerk attest his signature thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a reqular
meeting held on the lOth day of July , 1985, by the following

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF THE SPRUCE GYMNASIUM IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County o! San Mateo, State of
California, that
~/HEREAS, the County o! San Mateo desires to provide Community Development
Block Grant funds for improvement of the Spruce Gymnasium in the City of South San
Francisco; and
~/HEREAS, the City of South San Francisco has entered into a Cooperation
Agreement with the County establishing the formal relationship to cooperate and co-
participate in the County's Housing and Community Development Block Grant program;
and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and the County have previously entered
into an Agreement, dated October 2, 198~, tor the purpose of providing funds tot
improvement of Spruce Gymnasium; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board o! Supervisors tor its
consideration and acceptance an amendment to an agreement for provision ot County
HCD funds for improvement of Spruce Gymnasium Jn the City of South San Francisco,
reference to which ~s hereby made for full particulars, and the Board of Supervisors has
examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into same;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Chair
of this Board of Supervisors be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Marco, and the Clerk of the Board
shall attest her signature thereto.

AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF THE SPRUCE C~YMNASIUM
IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, entered into this 20t. h. day o! August ,
198~, between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision o! the State o!
California, hereinafter relerred to as "County" and the CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO, a duly incorporated city within the County o! San Mateo, hereinalter
relerred to as "City".
WlTNESSETH:
WHEREASt the County and City have previously entered into an Agreement to
Provide County Funds tor Improvement o! the Spruce Gymnasiumt dated October 2, 198t~;
and
WHEREAS, the County and City desire to amend certain terms o! said Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Agreement is hereby amended as loUows:
Paragraph 2 is deleted and is substituted with the following:
2. Contract Term: This contract shall commence on 3uly 1, 198~, and shall
terminate on 3une 30, 1956.
All other terms and conditions remain as originally set forth.
