A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE VACATION OF
MAGNOLIA AVENUE FROM NORTH CANAL
STREET TO<RAILROAD AVENUE '~
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as
follows:
1. The City Council on the
adopted Resolution No. 59-85
27th day of March , 1985 ·
, entitled "A Resolution of intention to Vacate
Magnolia Avenue from North Canal Street to RailrOad Avenue
which Resolution recited that the proceedings were undertaken to the Public Streets,
Highways and Service Easement Vacation Law (commencing with Section 8300 of the
Streets and Highways Code) and which Resolution of Intention was duly published
as required by law, and notices of hearing were duly posted in the time, manner
and form provided by law, all as appears from the affidavit of publication and
the affidavit of posting on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
2. Wednesday , the 24th. day of April , 19 85 at the hour
of 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo
Drive, South San Francisco, Californa, was fixed in said Resolution of Intention
as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in, or having
any objections to, said proposed vacation, were to appear before said Council and
be heard.
3. No objections of any kind or character have been or were made or filed
against vacation.
4. The City Council finds that the street right-of-way which is described
in said Resolution of Intention and which is more particularly described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as though
set forth verbatim, is unnecessary for present or prospective'public use except
for the reservation of public service easements as defined in Section 8306 of
the Streets and Highways Code located within the areas described in Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as though set forth
verbatim.
5. The street right-of-way is hereby ordered vacated except for the reser-
vation of public service easements as defined in Section 8306 of the Streets and
Highways Code within the areas described in Exhibit "B."
6. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution and Order,
attested under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office of the Recorder
of the County of San Mateo.
I hereby certify that 'the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopte(~ by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 24th day of April , 19 85 , by the following

from the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company datedMareh 7,
1944, recorded March 22, 1944 in Book llll of Deeds at Page 162,
Official Records of San Mateo County, being more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly right-of-way line of
Magnolia Avenue with the northerly right-of-way line of Railroad Avenue
as shown uponthat certain Subdivision Map of "Plat No. 2, Subdivision
of Blocks 98~ 99, 119 $ 122, South San Francisco, Cal." recorded
November 10, 1900 in Volume 3 of Subdivision Maps at Page 4, official
records of San Mateo County; thence south 15° 3~' west, 100.00 feet. to
a point on the southerly right-of-way.lh~e of the Southern Pacific
Transportation Company right-of-way, as described in the deed from
the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company to the Southern
Pacific Company dated September 21, 189~, recorded December 1~'189~ at
Book 6? of Deeds at Page 21, official records of San Mateo County= being
also the True Point of Beginning. Thence leaving said True Point of
Beginning, on and along the southerly line of said right-of-way, north
74° 2?' west, 60.00 feet to a point at the northeasterly corner of
Parcel 1 as said parcel is shown on the record of survey map of the lands
of Guy F. Atkinson Company, recorded June 3, 1971 at Volume ? of Licensed
Land Surveyor Maps at Page 61; thence leavh~g said point, along the

A strip of land of the unifor~ width of 20 feet lying contiguous
to and westerly of the easterly boundary line of south Magnolia
Avenue (60 feet wide) and extending from ~the westerly prolonga-
tion of the southerly boundary line of Railroad Avenue (50 feet
wide), southerly 80 feet.
PARCEL II- 40' wide Pipeline~Right-0f,Way Easement
The westerly portion of Magn~olia Avenue between Railroad Avenue and
North Capel Avenue as described in Deed from South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to the City of South
San Francisco, a municipal corporation, dated March 7, 1944 and
recorded March 22, 1944 in Vol. 1111 of Official Records of San Mateo
County on Page 162, being more particular described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of that 18.03
acre tract conveyed by South San Francisco Land and
Improvement Ccmpany, a Corporation, to Guy F. Atkinson
Company, a Corporation, by Deed recorded Dec. 3, 1943,
in Volume 1103 of Official Records, at Page 12, San
Mateo County Records;
Thence from said point of beginning, on and along 'the
southeasterly line of the above described parcel', also
being the westerly line of Magnolia Avenue produced
northeasterly, North 15 Degrees and 33 Minutes East,
695.52 Feet to a point in the southerly boundary line
'of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Right-of-
Way, Baden Branch; thence on and along the southerly
line of'said Right-of-Way South ?4 Degrees 27 Minutes
East, 40.00 Feet to a point 10.00 Feet East of the
centerline of Magnolia Avenue produced; thence on a
