A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING,
AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDER-
STANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO AND UNITS #3 & 9, TO ESTABLISH
THE SALARY & BENEFITS FOR THE POSITION
OF PLANNING AIDE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding
with Units #3 & #9, AFSCME, Local 1569, AFL-CIO, for the period
including January 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985, a copy of which
is attached as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if set
forth verbatim, is hereby accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk be and is
hereby authorized to endorse on the signature page of said
Memorandum of Understanding the following:
"Approved by City Council Resolution No. 92-85
adopted May 8 , 1985."

AGREEMENT TO AMEND THE MEMORANDUM
OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY
AND UNITS #3 & #9, AFSCME, LOCAL
1569, AFL-CI0, TO ESTABLISH THE
SALARY-BENEFITS FOR THE POSITION
OF PLANNING AIDE
On April 24, 1985, the City Council approved budgeting of
one full-time unclassified position of Planning Aide in the Planning
Division. The City is now desirious of establishing the salary
and benefits for that classification.
The representatives of the City and the representatives of
Units #3 & #9 have met and conferred and have agreed to amend the
Memorandum of Understanding between the City and Units #3 & #9
for the Period including January 1, 1984, through June 30, 1985
in order to establish the salary and benefits for the classification
of Planning Aide.
It is therefore agreed that the Memorandum of Understanding
between the City of South San Francisco and Units #3 & #9 AFSCME,
Local 1569, AFL-CI0 for the period January 1, 1984 through June 30,
1985 shall be amended to include the following classification and
salary:

The City and Units #3 & #9 Agree to the amendments as expressly
stated herein and except as herein modified, all other provisions,
terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding shall remain
