HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 69-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 69 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BASE AND ALTERNATE BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRE STATION 63 UPGRADE PROJECT. WHEREAS, on May 19, 2011, six bids were received and CM Construction Company appeared to be the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $1,179,000; and WHEREAS, staff recommends rejecting all base and alternate bids for the construction of the Fire Station 63 Upgrade Project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project; and WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to reject all bids submitted for the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby rejects all base and alternate bids for the construction of the Fire Station 63 Upgrade project. * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 8 day of June 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego and Pedro Gonzalez, Vice Mayor Richard A.
