HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 35-1985 RESOLUTION NO. 35-85 CITY COUNCIL~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO EOWARO J. RICKENBACHER WNEREAS~ Edward Rickenbacher has served as a Park and Recreation Commissioner of the City of South San Francisco for eleven (11) years~ being first appointed October 1~ 1974~ and WHEREAS~ during his tenure he has served as Chairman Pro Tempore in 1976 and 1981~ and as Chairman in 1977, lg?$ and 1952~ and WHEREAS~ Edward Rickenbacher~ a member of the Kiwanis Club since 1954, managed their youth baseball team from 1954 to 1960 and served as the Kiwanis Club South San Francisco President and State Lieutenant Governor in 1966~ and WHEREAS~ a resident of South San Francisco for thirty-five ($5) years, and an active member of the Board of Realtors for several years, Edward served as a member of the San Mateo County Grand Jury for a period of one (1) yearl and WNEREAS~ Edward Rickenbacher has contributed to the welfare of this commun- ity through his activities and the City Council desires to express appreciation to himfor said services~ NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Edward Ricken- bacher for his contribution to the Cityts progress and welfare through his service as a Park and Recreation Commissioner~ through which he unselfishly gave his time, interest and effort to advance and better this community, and by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of emulation by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this coff~f~nity. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced regular meeting held on the 13th day of February , 1985, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
