HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 36-1985 RESOLUTION NO. 36-85 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOHN A. TAMBURINI WHEREAS, John A. Tamburini has served as a Park and Recreation Commissioner of the City of South San Francisco for eight and one-half (8-1/2) years; and WHEREAS, during his tenure he has served as Chairman Pro Tempore in 1979 and Chairman in 1980; and WHEREAS, John Tamburini has always been an avid boater and is a Charter Member of the Oyster Point Yacht Club, having served as Commodore of the Club in 1968; and WHEREAS, aside from devoting many years as a member of the South San Fran- cisco Police Reserve, John also finds time for golfing and traveling; and WHEREAS, since his appointment on August 18, 1976 as a Park & Recreation Commissioner, John Tamburini has faithfully and dedicatedly served the City until December 31, 1984; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council does hereby commend and express apprecia- tion to John A. Tamburini for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare through his service as a Park and Recreation Commissioner, through which he unselfishly gave his time, interest and effort to advance and better this community, and by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of emulation by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13t~ay of February, 1955, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
