CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
ALDO DETOMASI
WHEREAS, Aldo Detomasi has served as a Personnel Board Member of the City
of South San Francisco for seven and one-half (7-1/2) years; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure he served as Chairman of the Board in 1983
and 1984; and
WHEREAS, since his appointment on November 8, 1977 Aldo Detomasi has faith-
fully and dedicatedly served the City until January 11, 1985; and
WHEREAS, a lifetime resident of the City of South San Francisco, once
a year Aldo Detomasi sponsors a Golf Tournament, with all proceeds donated
to the American Cancer Society; and
WHEREAS, he is also an active member of the Elks Club, Chairman of the
Peninsula Athletic Club and a member of the Downtown Merchants Association
and the Chamber of Commerce, as well as having participated in numerous fund
raising groups; and
WHEREAS, Aldo Detomasi has contributed to the welfare of this community
through his activities and participation as a Personnel Board Member, and
City Council desires to express appreciation to him for said services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the City Council does hereby commend and express apprecia-
tion to Aldo Detomasi for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare
through his service as a Personnel Board Member, through which he unselfishly
gave his time, interest and effort to advance and better this community, and
by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of emulation
by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
reqular meeting held on the 13th day of February , 1985, by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, Richard A. Haffey~
and R~berta Cerri Teglia
NOES: Nnn~
ABSENT: Councilmember Gus Nicolopulos
