CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
MARIE A. PETERSON
WHEREAS, Marie A. Peterson has served as a member of the Library Board of
Trustees for five (5) years having been appointed on June 30, 1980, and as
Chairperson for the last two and one-half (B-1/2) years; and
WHEREAS, she has contributed to the welfare of this community through numer-
ous other activities including the South San Francisco Women's Club, Secretary
to Friends of the Library, Past President of the Buri Burl PTA, South San Fran-
cisco Historical Society and a member of the Mater Dolorosa Church; and
WHEREAS, Marie has served on numerous library committees, as well as having
particpated in many Bay Area library workshops; and
WHEREAS, Marie, who loves to travel and keep busy is admired by library
employees as being a cooperative, concerned and energetic Board Chairperson;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the City Council does hereby commend and express apprecia-
tion to Marie A. Peterson for her contribution to the City's progress and
welfare through her service as a member of the Library Board of Trustees,
through which she unselfishly gave her time, interest and effort to advance
and better this community, and by which she established a high standard of
civic conduct worthy of emulation by those who desire to contribute to the
welfare of this community.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 13th day of February , 1985, by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, Richard A. Haffey;
and Roberta Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Gus Nicolopulos
