A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
INDUSTRIAL WAY AND A PORTION OF EAST
GRAND AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fracisco
as follows:
1.
March
Notice is hereby given that Wednesday , the 13th day of
19 85 , at 7:30 pm., which time is not l'ess than fifteen (15)
days from the date of passage of this Resolution, in the Community Room of the
Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in,
or having objections to, the proposed vacation of Industrial Way and a portion
of the northside of East Grand Avenue located across from Sylvester Road
as hereinafter described, may appear before said Council and be heard.
2. A copy of this Resolution shall be published for at least two (2)
successive weeks prior to the hearing date in the Enterprise-Journal, a news-
paper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the manner
prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in said City.
3. Notices of the vacation, stating the passage of the Resolution
of Intention and the time and place of hearing shall be posted conspicuously
along the line of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be vacated at least
two (2) weeks before the date set for the hearing and not less than three (3)
notices shall be posted.
4. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention
of this Council to vacate Industrial Way and a portion of the northside of East
Grand Avenue located across from Syslvester Road
as shown on the map entitled "Location Map - Vacation of Industrial Way and a
Portion of East Grand Avenue"
which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and which is more particularly
described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto.
5. The public interest, convenience and necessity require the reservation
of a public service easement over the entire area to be vacated including storm
drain and culvert easements and a sanitary sewer easement, both of which are more
particularly described in Exhibit "C" attached hereto and by this reference incorp-
orated herein as though set forth verbatim; and a public service easement which
is more particularly described in Exhibit "D" attached hereto and by this refer-
ence incorporated herein as though set forth verbatim, and the vacation proceed-
ings are taken subject to such reservations. The City Council does hereby resere
and except from such proceedings the public service easements described above
through the entire area described in Exhibits "A" and "B."
6. This vacation proceeding is conducted pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Public
Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law Icommencing with Streets &
Highways Code Section 8300 et. seq.)
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 13th day of February , 1985, by the following

Company, and the California 'Water Service Company a permanent
public service easement and the ~ight at any time Or from time
· to time to construct, maintain, operatb, repl.ace, remove, renew
'and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits,-cable, wires, poles and
other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of telegraphic and telephone l'ines and other communi-
cation facilities; gas mains and facilities, overhead and under-
ground electric lines, towers, and facilitibs; and water mains,
