HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 55-1985 RESOLUTION NO. 55-85 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DONALD J. ROSS WHEREAS, Donald J. Ross, a fifteen (15) year resident of the City of South San Francisco served as a Parking Place Commissioner for said City for three (3) years, having been appointed on January 19, 1982; and WHEREAS, during his tenure Donald participated in the City's purchase of the Baden Avenue property for Lot Number 12 and the implementation of a long-awaited parking study; and WHEREAS, aside from his busy day of private employment as a jeweler, Donald finds time to pursue his other interests of hunting fishing, jeeping and snow- mobiling; and WHEREAS, Donald Ross is a member of the Downtown Merchants' Association, and the Golden Gate Jeepers, an organization which assists in searching for flood victims; and WHEREAS, Donald J. Ross has contributed to the welfare of this community through his activities and participation as a Parking Place Commissioner, and the City Council desires to express appreciation to him for said services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Donald J. Ross for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare through his services as a Parking Place Commissioner, through which he unselfishly gave his time, interest and effort to advance and better this community, and by which he estab- lished a high standard of civic conduct worthy of emulation by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Couneil of the City of South San Franeiseo at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of March , 1985, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teqlia NOES: None ABSENT: None City Clerk -2-
