CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
MAGNOLIA AVENUE FROM NORTH CANAL
STREET TO RAILROAD AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fracisco
as follows:

Notice is hereby given that Wednesday , the 24th day of
1985 , at 7:30 pm., which time is not less than fifteen (15)
days from the date of passage of this Resolution, in the Community Room of the
Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in,
or having objections to, the proposed vacation of Magnolia Avenue from North
Canal Street to Railroad Avenue
as hereinafter described, may appear before said Council and be heard.
2. A copy of this Resolution shall be published for at least two (2)
successive weeks prior to the hearing date in the Enterprise-Journal, a news-
paper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the manner
prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in said City.
3. Notices of the vacation, stating the passage of the Resolution
of Intention and the time and place of hearing shall be posted conspicuously
along the line of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be vacated at least
two (2) weeks before the date set for the hearing and not less than three (3)
notices shall be posted.
4. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention
of this Council to vacate Magnolia Avenue from North Canal Street to Railraod
Avenue
as shown on the map entitled plat map
which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and which is more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
5. The public interest, convenience and necessity require the reservation
of public service easements, which are more particularly described in Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as though set forth
verbatim; and the vacation proceedings are taken subject to such reservations.
The City Council does hereby reserve and except from such proceedings the public
service easements within the areas described in Exhibit "B."
6. This vacation proceeding is conducted pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Public
Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (commencing with Streets &
Highways Code Section 8300 et. seq.)
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 27th day of March , 1985, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, Richard A. Haffey,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teqlia

Real Property situated in the City of South San Francisco, County of
San Mateo, State of California, as described in Parcel II of the Deed
from the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company da~ed March 7,
1944, recorded March 22, 1944 in Book 1111 of Deeds at Page 162:
Official Records of San Mateo County, being more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly right-of-wsy line of
Magnolia Avenue with the northerly right-of-way line of Railroad. Avenue
as shown uponthat certain Subdivision Map of "Plat No. 2, Subdivision
of Blocks 98, 99, 119 $ 122,. South San Francisco, Cal." recorded
November 10, 1900 in Volume 3 of Subdivision Maps at Page 4: official
records of San Mateo County; thence south 15° 35' west, 100.00 feet to
a point on the southerly right-of-way line of the Southern. Pacific
Transportation Company right-of-way, as described in the deed from
the South San Francisco Tmnd and Improvement Company to the Southern
Pacific Company dated September 21,1893, recorded December. 1,~1893 at
Book 67 of Deeds at Page 21, officia!records of San Mateo County, being
also the True Point of Beginning. Thence leaving said True Point of
Beginning, on and along the southerly line of said right-of-way, north
74° 27' west, 60.00 feet to a point at the northeasterly corner of
Parcel t as said parcel is shown on the record of survey map of the Lands
of Guy F. Atkinson Company, recorded June'3, 1971 at Volume 7 of Licensed
Land Surveyor Maps at Page 61; thence leaving said point, along the
southeasterly llne of said Parcel 1, south 15° 33' west, 695.52 feet to
a point on the northerly line of North Canal Street; thence along said northerly
]~ne, south 74° 27' east, 60.00 feet; thence leaving said North Canal Street
north 15° 33' east, 695.52 feet to the True Point of Beginning.

PARCEL I -.Pacific 'Gas and Electric Company Overhead and Underground Utility
Easement
A strip of land of the uniform width of 20 feet lying contiguous
to and westerly of the easterly boundary line of south Magnolia
Avenue '(60 feet wide) and extending from the westerly prolonga-
tion of the southerly boundary line of Railroad Avenue (50 feet
wide), southerly 80 feet.
PARCEL II- 40' wide Pipeline Right-Of,Way Easement
The westerly portion of' Magnolia Avenue between Railroad Avenue and
North Canal Avenue as described in Deed from South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to the City of South
San Francisco, a municipal corporation, dated March ?, 1944 and
recorded March 22~ 1944 in Vol. !111 of Official Records of San Mateo
County on Page 162, being more particular described as follows:
Beginning at the nlost southerly corner of that 18o03
acre tract conveyed by South San Francisco Land and
Improvement Company, a Corporations to Guy F. Atkinson
Company, a Corporation, by Deed recorded Dec. 8, 1943,
in Volume 1103 of Official Records~ at Page 12~ San
Mateo County Records;
Thence from said point of beginning~ on and along the
southeasterly line of the above described parcel', also
being the westerly line of Magnolia Avenue produced
northeasterly, North 15 Degrees and 33 Minutes East,
695.52 Feet to a point in the southerly boundary line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Right-of-
Way; Baden Branch; thence on and along the southerly
line of~said Right.of-Way South 74 Degrees 27 Minutes
East, 40.00 Feet to a point 10.00 Feet East of the
centerline of Magnolia Avenue prodUCed~ thence, on a
