A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.3486
ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ADOPT-
ING PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS"
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that Rule 11 Section ll.02(a) as set forth in
Resolution No.3486 passed on June 4, 1962, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
11.02 SICK LEAVE
(a) Sick leave shall not be considered as a privilege
which an employee may use at his discretion, but
shall be allowed only in case of necessity and
actual sickness or disability. Probationary and
permanent, full-time employees will accrue sick
leave with pay on the basis of one (1) work day
of sick leave for every month of continuous ser-
vice to a maximum of twelve (12) days in any
calendar year. Sick leave need not be used with-
in a specified leave year but may be accumulated
up to a maximum of 120 days. An employee who re-
signs or is discharged from the city service for
any reason shall forfeit permanently all sick leave
accumulated to that date. An employee having ac-
cumulated and unused sick leave credit who retires
either on attaining mandatory retirement age or
after having served the required number of years
to voluntarily retire as set forth mn the State
Employment Retirement System contract shall be
paid one day's pay at said employee's daily rate
of pay for each two (2) days of accumulated
and unused sick leave credit, accumulated and un-
used as of the date of said retirement.

regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
