HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3957-1964RESOLUTION NO. 3957 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PARTICIPATION BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE BUTLER ROAD IMPROVEMENT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that WHEREAS, this Council did on May 18, 1964, adopt Resolution of Intention No. 3943, pursuant to Divisions X and XII of the California Streets and Highways Code, for financing the costs of widening Butler Road in said City from Industrial Way easterly about 1550 feet, and improving same with clearing, grading, paving, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm drains, sanitary sewers, fire alarm system, ~water mains, fi~e hydrants, trees, shrubs and auxiliary improvements; WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of said project is $260,980.86, which has been apportioned among the abutting properties, of which $15,1~0.35 has been apportioned to abutting lands owned by the General Services Administration of the United States; WHEREAS, the City will be required to contribute said sum unless said Administration or the United States shall agree to and contribute its share of said costs to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, request is hereby made: 1. That the General Services Administration or the United States or the proper department or agency thereof, enter into a Joint exercise of powers agreement with the City pursuant to Sections 6300 et seq of the California Government Code for the prosecution of said project by the City and for the payment to the City of the sum of $15,140.35. 2. That Congress adopt such legislation as is necessary in the premises. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular ~eeti~ held this 18th day of May, 196~, by the following vote: AYES, C(N~NC~ tt Patrick E.
