CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION
FOR ANNEXATION OF THE WESTBOROUGH INHABITED
AREA HELD
WHEREAS, a special election was held in the territory
known as the "Westborough Inhabited Area" on the llth
day of August , 1964 , for the purpose of determin-
ing whether said territory should be annexed to the City of
South San Francisco, and,
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of South San Fran-
cisco has duly presented to the City Council all the returns
of the votes cast at said special election, and,
WHEREAS, said City Council has canvassed the returns
and is prepared to declare the results thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco that said Council finds and
declares as follows:
That the whole number of votes cast in said territory
known as the "Westborough Inhabited Area'~ was 42?
That the proposition which was submitted to the electors
residing in the territory known as the "Westborough Inhabited
Area" was:
~'SHALL THE "WESTBOROUGH INHABITED AREA" BE ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE PRO-
PERTY IN SUCH TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH ANNEXATION,
SUBJECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH THE PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, TO PAY
THE ENTIRE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OUTSTANDING OR AUTHORIZED
AT THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THE NO-
TICE OF ELECTION FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUC-
TION OR COMPLETION OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS?"
That the total number of votes cast for and against
annexation in said election were as follows:
For Annexation 415
Against Annexation 9
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco does hereby declare that the
electors of the territory known as the "Westborough In-
habited Area" have elected to annex said territory to the
City of South San Francisco, which annexation is approved
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, and
further proceedings to affect and complete said annexation
are hereby authorized.
