CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTIO.~ ESTABLISHING THE
MAYOR'S COMMITTEZ ON CIVIC IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that
1. There is hereby established a Mayor's Committee on
Civic Improvement.
2. This Committee shall be designated the official co-
ordinator of a continuous City clean-up, fix-up, paint-up City
beautification campaign, a~d the Committee shall conduct pro-
grams designed to improve ~he physical condition of the City.
3. The Committee shall have an Executive Committee, the
original members of which are hereinafter named. Appointments
to the membership of the Executive Committee shall be made by
the Mayor with approval of the City Council.
4. The Mayor shall serve as Honorary Chairman of said
Executive Committee.
5. The Executive Committee shall not exceed twelve mem-
bers who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City
Council. The respective offices of the Executive Committee
and the persons appointed to fill said offices shall be as
hereinafter set forth:

General Vice Chairman
Secretary
Finance Officer
Clean Up Division Chairman
Paint Up Division Chairman
Fix Up Division Chairman
Robert Lambertson
Mrs. John Basanez
Mrs. Alistair Finlayson
John Dillon
Robert Mezzetta
Harold Stoltz
John Penna
Beautification Divisicn Chairman Rene Cardinaux
Beautification Divisicn Mrs. Harold Humber
Vice Chairm~n
Kick Off Division Ch&irman Jack Jones
City Representative James Sargen
6. The Executive Committee shall have the power to de-
signate and appoint members to various sub-committees as may
be needed.
7. The Executive Committee shall be authorized to util-
ize professional services in the conduct of the public clean-
up campaign.
8. The Executive Committee shall report regularly to
the Mayor and City Council regarding areas that require im-
provement and regarding the progress of the Civic Improvement
Program.
9. The Committee shall perform other Civic Improvement
functions assigned to the ~ommittee by the Mayor and City
Council.
