HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 87-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 87 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,145 FROM THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY TO PURCHASE LARGE DIAMETER FIRE HOSE; AND AMENDING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S FISCAL YEAR 2011 -2012 OPERATING BUDGET WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $35,145 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to purchase large diameter fire hose; and WHEREAS, the grant represents 80% of the total funding for the large diameter hose; and WHEREAS, FEMA regulations require the City to pay the remaining 20% cost of $7,029, and this amount will come from General Fund Reserves. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby: 1. Accepts a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $35,145 and appropriates the same to the Fire Department budget for the purchase large diameter fire hose. 2. Amends the 2011 -12 operating budget to reflect the budgeting allocations. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13 day of July 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A.
