HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4276-1965RESOLUTION NO. 4276 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARY SCHEDULES AND INCREASES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1965-66. WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the employees' contribution to good government in South San Francisco by their efficient and courteous attention to duty, and, WHEREAS, in the past year the employees have aided the City Council's effort to operate economically, so that services to the taxpayers may be expanded by savings rather than increased taxes, and, WHEREAS, because of these facts and because wages throughout industry, business and government are being re- vised to meet the increase in the cost of living and the City Council deems it fitting and proper to provide for in- creases and adjustments of employees' salaries for the fis- cal year 1965-66. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby order that 1. Salaries for employees of the City of South San Francisco for the pay period commencing Auqust 15, 1965 and thereafter during the fiscal year 1965- 1966 shall be increased and adjusted as set forth in the schedule attached hereto as Exhibit "A" entitled "Salary Schedules and Increases 1965-66". 2. Compensation for members of the Commissions shall be as set forth in said schedule. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a ~ajn,,',-n~ reqular meeting held on the 24th day of Auqust , 19 65 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E. Police and Fire Department Personnel: The salary ranges shall be advanced 4 ranges b. Other City Departments: The salary ranges shall be ad- vanced 2'ranges c. City Manager and City Attorney: The salary for the fis- cal year 1964-65 shall be increased by 5% For pay period commencing August 15, 1965 and ending August 31, 1965: The salaries computed in accordance with 1. above for the pay period commencing August 15, 1965 and ending August 31, 1965, shall be increased by adding to said salary the sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay period July 1, 1965 to July 15, 1965, the sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay period July 15, 1965 to July 31, 1965, and the sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay period August 1, 1965 to August 15, 1965· EXHIBIT "A" SALARY SCHEDULES AND INCREASES 1965-66 A.
