HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4301-1965RESOLUTION NO. 4301 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ORDERING NOTICES TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA (DIVISION OF HIGI-I~AYS) CONTRACTORS, CITY OF DALY CITY AND DEVELOPERS REGARDING STOI~ WATER AND DRAINAGE CONTROL BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that~ ~EREAS, the developers of Serramonte, under the jurisdiction of the City of Daly City, are doing extensive grading work in the area generally located westerly of Junipero Serra Boulevard, and WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of California and their contractors are doing certain grading work for the construc- tion and improvement of Junipero Serra Boulevard, which construction and installation will include certain drainage facilities, and ~ItEREAS, said grading work will materially change the pattern of drainage and the volume of flow from and through said areas during the grading period and after installation of the public drainage facilities, and ~EREAS, the City of South San Francisco is obliged to require that safe and adequate drainage facilities be provided to protect public and private property which may be affected by the drainage from said area, and WHEREAS, the City of Daly City has jurisdiction over the design and installation of the drainage facilities in the Serramonte area and will be concerned with the adequacy of same and the off-site connections thereto, and WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Flood Control District as empowered by the San Mateo County Flood Control District Act (Act 7261, added by Statutes 1959 and amended) will be concerned with the necessary rules and regulations and installations to accomplish the purposes as set forth in said act; NOW, THEREI~ORE, IT IS OP. DF~J~GD that, 1. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco is aware of the efforts being made by the City of Daly City, the developers of Serramonte, the State of California (Division of Highways) and their contractors and the San Mateo County Flood Control District and does recognize their efforts to conduct the grading operation in a manner consistent with their respective responsibility; 2. The City Council does respectfully solicit the continuance of those efforts so as to cause a design and construction of facilities that will assure a safe and adequate drainage system during the grading period and after the installation of the public drainage facilities; 3. The City Council extends its assurance of cooperation; 4. A copy of this Resolution be sent to the City of Daly City, the developers of Serramonte, the Division of Highways of the State of California and their contractors, and the San Mateo County Flood Control District. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adiourned reaularmeeting held on the 25th day of October , 19 ~., by the following vote, AYES, GOUNGIL~EN Frank Bertucelli, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca and Guido J.
