HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 92-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 92 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE, THE FIRE CHIEF AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS AUTHORIZED AGENTS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES THROUGH CALEMA WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ( "City ") is a public entity established under the laws of the State of California; and, WHEREAS, from time to time the City must request reimbursement for expenses through the California Emergency Management Agency ( "CALEMA "); and, WHEREAS, CALEMA requests that the City designate authorized agents in order to execute for, and on behalf of the City, applications filed with the CALEMA for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance administered by CALEMA; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to designate its Chief of Police, its Fire Chief and its Public Works Director as authorized agents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City of South San Francisco hereby designates the Chief of Police, the Fire Chief and Public Works Director as authorized agents for purposes of submitting applications to CALEMA for federal financial assistance, and authorizes the City to complete out the designation form, attached hereto as Exhibit A. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes its designated agents to provide to CALEMA the assurances and agreements required for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27 day of July 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Kevin Mullin NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: . iity C rk EXHIBIT A State of California California Emergency Management Agency DESIGNATION OF APPLICANT'S AGENT RESOLUTION FOR NON -STATE AGENCIES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (Governing Body) (Name of Applicant) THAT the Chief of Police OR (Title of Authorized Agent) the Fire Chief OR (Title of Authorized Agent) the Public Works Director (Title of Authorized Agent) is hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of South San Francisco , a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it with the California Emergency Management Agency for the purpose of obtaining federal financial administered by the California Emergency Management Agency. THAT the City of South San Francisco , a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agent(s) to provide to the California Emergency Management Agency for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements required.
