HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4365-1966WJM&L:J: s 1/5/66 RESOLUTION NO. 4365 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS CONMUR STREET AND DIANNE COURT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco~ California~ that WHEREAS, the said Council did on the 6th day of December, 1965~ adopt its Resolution of Intention No~ 4332~ to order the grading~ including removal of all obstructions, and the construc- tion of pavement~ curbs~ gutters~ sidewalks~ sanitary sewer mains~ wye branches~ laterals~ cleanouts and standard manholes~ a street lighting system complete with electroliers and lumi- naires and underground conduit, cable and pull boxes; street signs and engineering monuments~ and fire hydrants and appurte- nances~ in said City, all as more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention~ NOW, THEREFORE~ the City Clerk of said City is hereby di- rected to publish once a week for two weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise~ a newspaper published and circulated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said City Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening bids° Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the City amounting to ten per cent of the bid~ or by a bond in said amount and pay- able to said City signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the City. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk of this City on or before 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 1st day of March, 1966, said time being not less than fourteen days from the time of the first publication of said notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and hour, and the results thereof reported to the Council at its meeting to be held at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on the 7th day of March, 1966. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a special meeting held this 25th day of January, 1966, by the following vote: AYES, COUNC~ Frank J.
