HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 95-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 95 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $116,104 IN GRANT FUNDING FROM THE ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS PLAN ( "ABAGPLAN ") TO SUPPORT RISK MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES AND AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR 2011 -2012 WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to continue to fund risk management activities to reduce potential future costs; and WHEREAS, a total of $116,104 is available from the ABAG PLAN for this purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that the City Council hereby approves the acceptance of up to $25,104 for Best Practices Service Credits Grants, $61,000 for Risk Management Program Grants, $5,000 in Risk Management Training Grants, and $25,000 in Police Risk Management Grants. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to allocate these dollars to specific projects that the City's Risk Manager approves. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27` day of July 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A.
