HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4386-1966RESOLUTION NO. 4386 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO WEST PARK UNIT NO. 1 PARKS AND PARKWAYS MAINTENANCE DISTRICT WEST PARK UNIT NO. 2 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that the public interest and necessity require, and it is the intention of this Council, to annex certain contiguous territory within said City to the West Park Unit No. 1 Parks and Parkways Maintenance District, the exterior boundaries of said territory being described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. Said territory is not within any other Parks and Parkways Maintenance District and, as incorpo- rated territory within the City of South San Francisco, this Council hereby grants its consent to this annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Monday, the 215t day of Mar~ , 1966, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P. M., Council Chambers~ City Hall, South San Francisco, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and were the City Council shall hear and pass upon the proposal and any objections which may be filed to the inclusion of any property within the proposed annexation. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing by postcard mailed, postage prepaid, to each owner whose name and address appears on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the Clerk, and who owns real property within the boundaries of the territory sought to be annexed and within the district to which such territory is proposed to be annexed, said notice to be mailed at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date fixed for the hearing. The City Clerk is further directed to cause notices of the hearing to be posted in three (3) conspicuous places within the terri- tory to be annexed and also in three (3) conspicuous places within the district to which such territory is proposed to be annexed, not less than ten (10) days prior to the date set for hearing. The notices shall be headed "NOTICE OF HF~RING" in letters not less than one inch in height. The City Clerk is further directed to publish a notice of hearing once a week for two successive weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal~ a newspaper of general circulation in the territory to be annexed and deemed by this Council to be the newspaper most likely to give notice of hearing to the inhabi- tants. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 21st day of February, 1966, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCII~N NOES, " ABSENT, " Frank J.
