HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 4403-1966RESOLUTION NO. 41~03 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COUNTY CLERK OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SER- VICES PURSUANT TO THE ELECTIONS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND TO FURNISH VOTING MACHINES BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo shall be, and is hereby, requested to permit the County Clerk of said County to render the services hereinafter specified relating to the conduct of the general municipal election to be held within said City on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1966, for the purpose of submitting the following to the qualified voters of said City nominees for the following municipal office: Two (2) nominees for City Councilman for full term 2. That the election services requested by said City in connection with the holding and conducting of said election are more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein the same as though fully set forth at length. 3. That this governing body shall, and does hereby, accept the terms and conditions of the performance of said election services (and the furnishing cf voting machines); and this governing body further agrees to make the pay- ments therefor, as set forth in Resolution No. 16928 of the Board of Supervisors prescribing the payments for the rendering of specified election services to cities and districts and for the furnishing of voting machines to cities, districts and political subdivisions by said Coun- ty Clerk, adopted on the 19th day of December , 19 61 . 4. That this governing body shall, and does hereby, agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the in- structions for elections prepared by the County Clerk, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned remular meeting held on the 28th day of Februar~ 19 66 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Frank J. Bertucelli, Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and Guido J. Rozzi. NOES, " None. ABSENT, " None. ATTEST: EXKIBIT "A" Normal Services: Furnishing precinct indexes, by precinct or consolidated Precinct, to the affidavits of registration of eligible registered voters at a cost of $3.00 per thousand names or portion thereof appearing thereon, with a minimum cost of $3.00; (2) Preparation and addressing of polling place notices for the eligible registered voters at a cost of $10.45 per thousand for each one thousand, with a minimum cost of (3) Furnishing paper stock for polling place notices for mailing to eligible registered voters at a cost of $4.25 per thousand notices; (4) Inserting in envelopes, as supplied by city or district, the election matter to be mailed to eligible registered voters at a cost of $5.90 per thousand for each one thousand, with a minimum cost of $5.90; (5) Services required to ready voting machines for use at said election, exclusive of voting machine label preparation and printing cost, and excluding cost of drayage to and from polling places, at a cost of $7.75 per machine; (6) Services required to unseal the voting machines and to take off and record record of votes cast and reseal voting machines prior to the official canvass by the city or district, at a cost of $.75 (75 cents) per machine for each voting machine used at said election.
