A RESOLUTION CALLZNG FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
STONEGATE RIDGE UNIT NO. 1
RESOLVED~ by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco~ California~ that
WHEREAS~ the said Council did~ on the 16th day of
August~ 1965~ adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
to order the construction of grading~ pavement~ curbs, gutters~
sidewalks~ storm drainage facilities~ sanitary sewer mains and
appurtenances~ electrolier system~ street signs~ monuments~
barricades, and fire alarm system in said City~ all as more
particularly described and set forth in said Resolution
Intention;
WHEREAS~ at the time of ordering said improvements~
said Council ordered a delay in the construction of improve,-
ments across the lands of Crosariol and the South San Francisco
Unified School District for a period of 1..41/2 to 2 years.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ the City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to publish once a week for two weeks in the South
San Francisco Enterprise~ a newspaper published and circulated
in said City~ a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for
the construction of said improvements, (other than improve--
ments across said lands of Crosariol and District)~ and re--
ferring to the plans and specifications on file in the office
of said City Clerk~ the first of which publications shall be
at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening
bids.
Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check payable to the order of the City amounting
to ten per cent of the bid~ or by a bond in said amount
and payable to said City s~gned by the bidder and a corporate
surety or by the bidder and two sureties ~ho shall justify
before any officer competent to administer an oath~ in double
said amount and over and above all state, tory exemptions. Said
check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to
said City in case the bidder depositing the same does not~
within fifteen days after written notice that the contract
has been awarded to him~ enter into a contract with the City.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of this City on or before 2:00 oZclock P.M. on the
l~th day of April~ 1966~ said time being not less than four-
teen days from the time of the first publication of said
notice. Bids will be publicly opened~ e×amined and declared
on said day and hour~ and the results thereof reported to the
Council at its meeting to be held at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on the
18th day of April~ 1966.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted hy the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 21st day of March, 1966, hy the following
vote:
