CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING SENATE BILL #79 AS
PRINTED AND REQUESTING AN AMENDMENT TO
PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL SUPERIOR COURT
JUDGE IN THE INTEREST OF FULL-TIME SER-
VICES FOR NORTH SAN MATEO COUNTY
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that
1. Senator Richard J. Dolwig and Assemblyman Leo
J. Ryan be advised by this Resolution that the Council
holds the following opinion:
"The main judicial need in the North San
Mateo County area is a full-time Superior
Court and the assignment of a third Muni-
cipal Court Judge at this time without the
simultaneous assignment of a full-time
Superior Court Judge may, in fact, do a
disservice to the residents of San Mateo
County."
2. The Council does, therefore, request the amend-
ment of SB 79 to provide for an additional Superior Court
Judge for San Mateo County in order that full-time Superior
Court services may be established in North San Mateo
County.
3. A copy 'of thiB Resolution be forwarded to
Senator Richard J. Dolwig and Assemblyman Leo J. Ryan.
