CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPRESENTATIVES
TO SIGN FOR AND ACCEPT SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat.
493 and amendments thereof), the Federal government has
authorized the donation of surplus Federal property for
Civil Defense purposes, and
WHEREAS, certain conditions are imposed by the Feder-
al Civil Defense Administration, the Department of Health,
Education and Welfare, the California Disaster Office, and
the Surplus Property Division of the State Department of
Education in connectiOn with the acquisition of such proper-
ty, and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco desires to
become eligible to acquire such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco that:
1. City Manager Eugene Aiello, Director of Civil
Defense and Disaster, and Administrative Assistant James
P. Sargen, Assistant Director of Civil Defense and Disaster,
shall be and are hereby authorized as the representatives
of said City to sign for and accept surplus property in
accordance with ~he conditions imposed by the above
agencies.
2. Said Director and Assistant Director of Civil
Defense and Disaster are authorized as the persons to sign

documents applicable to the Federal Contributions Program
for CiVil Defense equipment.
3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to
send two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to the
California Disaster Office for filing with said Disaster
Office and with the State Department of Education and cer-
tified copies to any other agencies or offices the filing
of which is required by law.
4. This resolution of authorization shall remain in
full force and effect until amended, superseded or rescinded
by resolution of this Council, transmitted, in duplicate,
to the California Disaster Office and/or other agencies
or offices the filing with which is required by law.
5. The signatures of the Director and Assistant Di-
rector of Civil Defense and Disaster, the persons author-
ized to sign as hereinbefore set forth, are as follows:
