CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
THE MEMBERS AND OFFICERS OF THE UNITED
NATIONS
WHEREAS, the Members and Officers of the United
Nations have with dedication served the objectives of
the United Nations Charter, and
WHEREAS, on October 24th, 1966, we respectfully
observe United Nations Day in the City of South San
Francisco, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco as the initial act in preparation for our ob-
servance of that day desires to express appreciation to
the United Nations General Assembly and their Officers
for their efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco that said Council does
hereby express appreciation to the United Nations General
Assembly and Officers thereof'for their dedicated efforts
in pursuit of the objectives of the United Nations
Charter, and further directs that a copy of this Reso-
lution be forwarded to the United States Ambassador to
the United Nations, the Honorable Arthur J. Goldberg~
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
