A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS
WESTBOROUGH-WEST PARK PLANNED COMMUNITY DISTRICT
UNITS NOS. 1 AND 2
COMMON GREEN AND PARK SITE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, this Council has determined to undertake pro-
ceedings pursuant to appropriate assessment and assessment
bond acts for the acquisition and construction of public
improvements in said City;
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will
be served by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys
for the preparation and conduct of said proceedings and work
in connection with said acquisitions and improvements;
NOW~ THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That Theodore V. Tronoff Civil Engineer · Surveyor,
Inc., Daly City, California, be, and is hereby, appointed as
Engineer of Work and employed to do and perform all engineer-
ing work necessary in and for said proceedings, including
all preliminary surveying, preparation of report, plans,
profiles, specifications, estimate of costs, diagram and
assessment, setting grade stakes and supervision of work;
that Frank W. Aitken, Jr., of said Theodore V. Tronoff Civil
Engineer & Surveyor, Inc., or his authorized agent, be
designated to make and sign any certificate or documents
required to be made or signed by the Engineer of Work; and
that compensation therefor be, and it is hereby, fixed at a
reasonable engineering fee for all of said engineering, said
fee to be approved by the City Council of said City and be
assessed as an incidental expense of said proceedings.
2. That the Public Work Director of said City is
hereby directed to examine and approve the engineering docu-
ments and to provide inspection of the construction of said
improvements and to accept said work when done to his satis-
faction. The cost of said inspection shall be assessed as
an incidental expense of said proceedings.
3o That the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton &Lynch,
San Mateo, California, be, and they are hereby, appointed
and employed to do and perform all legal services required
in the conduct of said proceedings, including the preparation
of all papers not required to be prepared by the Engineer,
examining and approving the engineering documents and advis-
ing the Engineer in the preparation of his work, advising
all City officials on all matters relating thereto when
called upon, and furnishing their legal opinion on the
validity of said proceedings and bonds, and that their com-
pensation be, and it is hereby, fixed at a reasonable fee
for all of said services, to be set forth in the estimate
of cost and approved by the City Council of said City, and
to be assessed as an incidental expense of said proceedings,
together with reasonable fees for services in acquiring
easements or in eminent domain or other suits°
4o That the fees provided to be paid in Sections 1
and 3 hereof be paid from said assessments to be levied and
bonds to be issued, and not otherwise.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held this 3rd day of October, 1966, by the following
votes
