CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING ELIMINATION OF
PARKING ON EL CAHINO REAL AT_CHESTNUT
AVENUE
WHEREAS, serious traffic congestion exists, and many
accidents occur, at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue
with E1 Camino Real; and
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco City Engineer has
reported to this Council that the channelization of that
intersection would materially alleviate the traffic con-
gestion and virtually eliminate the accidents that occur;
and
WHEREAS, the State of California, acting through its
Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, is now
preparing plans and specifications for channelizing and in-
stalling signals on E1 Camino Real at Chestnut Avenue tn
South San Francisco in cooperation with the City of South
San Francisco;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of South San Francisco as follows:
1. That this Council does hereby consent to and ap-
prove of the elimination of such parking along E1 Camino
Real as is necessary to accomplish the channelization and
signalization of the aboveldescribed intersection.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to trans-
mit certified copies of this Resolution to the State of
California, Department of Public Works, Division of High-
ways, San Francisco, California.
