Home My WebLink AboutReso 100-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 100 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR THE 2011 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,498,310 WHEREAS, staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the 2011 Street Rehabilitation Project and on August 16, 2011, received four (4) valid bids in response; and WHEREAS, Gallagher & Burk, Inc. of Oakland, California, was the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the construction contract to Gallagher & Burk, Inc. of Oakland, California, in the amount of $1,498,310; and WHEREAS, the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2011 -2012 Capital Improvement Program ( "CIP ") and sufficient funds have been allocated to cover the Project cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the 2011 Street Rehabilitation Project to Gallagher & Burk, Inc. of Oakland, California, in an amount not to exceed $1,498,310, conditioned on Gallagher & Burk's timely execution of the Project contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, executed bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the documents on behalf of the City Council upon timely submission by Gallagher & Burk's signed contract and all other documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24 day of August 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A.
